WHY

Black Girl Dad Week celebrates the vital role Black men and boys play in uplifting Black women and girls, particularly in fostering their political and leadership ambitions. Historically, Black women have been at the forefront of movements advocating for civil rights, justice, and equity, yet they remain underrepresented in leadership positions. Black men and boys serve as crucial allies, advocates, and mentors, helping to dismantle systemic barriers and pave the way for progress.
